#8 Asian Persuasion | Brussels 2025 Recap
On October 11th, we gathered once again to celebrate Asian creativity, culture and community. And what a day it was.
From the moment doors opened, Zinnema filled with laughter, conversation, music and movement. Old friends reunited, new friendships formed, workshops buzzed, performances moved people to tears (and cheers) and the entire venue felt like one big living room. Warm, welcoming and alive.
Built From the Heart
Asian Persuasion has always been a community-rooted project. We do this out of passion, care and love for our cultures and each other.
This edition was no different except for one thing: we had to push through some unexpected challenges on the day itself.
It was stressful, the kind of thing that could have easily thrown the day off track.
But something beautiful happened instead: our community showed up.
Volunteers stepped in where needed. Friends picked up tasks without being asked. Someone grabbed our camera and became our photographer for the day. Coordinators moved like magic. Artists supported each other. Visitors offered help. It was a reminder of what makes Asian Persuasion truly special: we build this together.
Workshops, Performances, Market & More
Throughout the day:
We danced, we listened, we shared stories.
We learned sashiko, kumihimo, Balinese dance and K-pop dance.
We ate, laughed, hugged and hyped each other up.
We made space for vulnerability, joy, curiosity and play.
We welcomed kids, elders, multilingual friend groups and entire families.
And on the stage: poetry, dance, live music in all its forms.

To everyone who attended: thank you for being there. You made the day what it was, wether you came to watch, participate or to simply be part of the community.
To our artists, vendors, workshop facilitators, volunteers, coordinators and partners: we couldn’t do this without you. Truly.
What’s Next
We’re resting a little (we need it), but we’re not done. Our Community Day is coming November 15th, a smaller, Asian-only gathering focused on connection. And after that… more to come.
