#13 Tussen Oost en West (Finissage): A Day of Connection
On June 13th, we were honored to partner with Lucy’s Antwerp for the finissage of "Tussen Oost en West," a moving exhibition celebrating the life and art of Su-Yin Wang.
Initiated by Su-Yin's daughter, Patricia Van de Velde, this event was a heartfelt tribute to honor her mother's legacy during a challenging time. As a partner, Asian Persuasion was proud to help facilitate the day and bring our community together to celebrate Su-Yin’s work as a bridge between cultures.
The day was a resounding success, filled with connection:
Workshops: We shared space with Cliff Tang (Movement) and Ying Da (Calligraphy), offering moments of peace and creativity for all ages.
Dialogue: Our panel on "The Art of Becoming" featured Joe Choi, Chin Lin Pang, Christopher D’havé, and Patricia herself.
Music: The evening concluded with a soulful performance by Joni Sheila, wrapping up the tribute in warmth.
