#6: Collaboration with Native Indo at Kaki Lima Festival 2025
Earlier this year, our friends at Native Indo reached out to explore a collaboration. What began as a conversation quickly grew into something much deeper: a shared mission, a growing friendship and a sense of community we’re proud to be part of.
Over the past few months, we’ve shown up for each other’s events and at Kaki Lima Festival, that mutual support turned into a full-on collaboration.

What We Did Together
At this year’s Kaki Lima Festival, we didn’t just attend but we actively contributed:
Promotion: We helped spread the word and brought our community along with us.
Panel Talk: We took part in a thoughtful panel discussion on identity, diaspora and community, exchanging stories and experiences across generations and cultures.
Live Music: Joni Sheila brought her sound and soul to the stage with a live performance.
Celebration: Our Asian Persuasion fam showed up strong, dancing, sharing, connecting. We celebrated our Asian-ness in all its richness and complexity.
A Growing Friendship
Our bond with Native Indo is only getting stronger. This kind of cross-community collaboration is exactly what we dream of: Asian voices coming together, amplifying one another and creating lasting change.
